The light little Ninja is powered by a powerful twin-cylinder with 249 ccm capacity and is equipped with numerous driver-friendly features. These include, for example, a low seat height, easy-going levers and operating elements, and a relaxed sitting position. And the best of all: As with the  Ninja ZX-10R and Ninja ZX-6R, the Ninja 250R also placed great emphasis on good control by the driver. Easy handling, excellent controllability and good response of the engine make the 250R for a lot of fun in the city. The 17-inch wheels guarantee easy and easy handling combined with good stability. A high-performance disc brake with double-piston floating caliper provides good deceleration and is easy to dose. Like the other sports models from Kawasaki, the Ninja 250R is equipped for efficient heat dissipation with brake discs in petal design. The 250R was developed for active, sporty driving. The necessary control over the bike is supported by a relaxed upright sitting position and comfortable ergonomics.

The engine of the Ninja 250R was designed for uniform performance. Drivers who like to use the entire speed range will be delighted by the engine's performance and the joy of turning the engine. To help the owner to enjoy this model for many years, numerous details contribute to the durability and reliability of the engine. Fine atomizing 8-hole injection nozzles contribute to the good response at medium and high speeds. Like the Ninja ZX-6R, the Ninja 250R also features dual throttle valves that provide better response across the entire speed range, more consistent linear output, and fuel economy. Throttle valve housings measure 28 mm in diameter. The ignition system is based on the ER-6n / f system, operates reliably and offers good durability. The ignition coils are integrated into the plug plugs and provide a powerful ignition spark.
